Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)<\/strong>, a large non-profit serving over 180,000 learners, is looking for a M365 CoPilot and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer<\/strong>. This role is dedicated to deploying and managing an AI-powered future by ensuring the cloud infrastructure is secure and perfectly configured to unleash the full potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Remote<\/strong> position, with the target hiring range being $85,961.00 \u2013 $116,299.00<\/strong> annually. You must reside and work from one of SNHU’s approved states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Primary Focus: M365 Copilot Integration & Governance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This engineer will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME)<\/strong> for Copilot’s deployment, focusing heavily on data governance, security, and the integration of core Microsoft 365 services that power the AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Copilot Deployment:<\/strong> Lead the end-to-end technical deployment, configuration, and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Data Governance & Security:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to establish data access boundaries<\/strong> and information protection policies tailored for AI use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Configure and increase Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and sensitivity labels<\/strong> to govern the data Copilot can access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ensure data is structured, secure, and compliant to maximize Copilot’s utility and accuracy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • M365 Integration (AI Context):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online<\/strong>, including mail flow, transport rules, and public folder governance, which are critical to Copilot’s email context capabilities<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Manage SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams<\/strong> environments to ensure optimal performance and data architecture for AI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Secondary Focus: Azure Cloud Infrastructure & IaC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The role also maintains the foundational cloud infrastructure supporting the AI environment using modern engineering practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):<\/strong> Design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud foundation in Azure using Terraform<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Automation:<\/strong> Create automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI)<\/strong> to improve provisioning, deployment, and management tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Identity & Security:<\/strong> Manage identity and access solutions using Microsoft Entra ID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Monitoring:<\/strong> Implement and monitor security controls using Microsoft Defender XDR<\/strong> for cloud and M365 services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Cost Optimization:<\/strong> Monitor Copilot usage patterns and cloud resource use to identify performance bottlenecks, improve costs, and ensure a high-quality user experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          This is a mid-to-senior level cloud engineering role requiring direct experience with the M365 ecosystem and Azure architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Experience:<\/strong> 3+ years<\/strong> of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with a track record in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Copilot Specific:<\/strong> Experience with the deployment, configuration, and management of Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Required Certification:<\/strong> Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)<\/strong> certification is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • IaC\/Automation:<\/strong> Experience with Terraform<\/strong> for managing Azure infrastructure and PowerShell<\/strong> for administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Core Technical Skills:<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • Experience with core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, or Security).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Online<\/strong>, including hybrid configurations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Experience with cloud security principles, Microsoft Entra ID<\/strong>, and identity management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Experience with DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
