FIS (Fidelity National Information Services)<\/strong>, a leader in fintech, is seeking a Systems Administrator II<\/strong> to join its Managed IT group. This role is dedicated to providing comprehensive IT support and administration to a specific banking client<\/strong> in the Troy, Alabama region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Experienced<\/strong> position that is 5 days onsite<\/strong> at the banking client’s office location in Troy, AL<\/strong>. Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License and their own transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Responsibilities and Client Support Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of desktop, system, and network administration tasks, acting as the primary IT resource for the client, managing both day-to-day support and project implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Desktop & Network Support:<\/strong> Provide remote and on-site desktop and network support<\/strong> to Managed Services clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Administration & Monitoring:<\/strong> Perform on-site moves, adds, changes, and desktop and network administration. Conduct proactive monitoring<\/strong> of the network and systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • System Maintenance:<\/strong> Install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems. Install, configure, and upgrade network operating systems and applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Performance & Security:<\/strong> Propose and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Monitor usage and performance. Maintain a secure systems environment<\/strong>, including controlling user access and passwords.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hardware Handling:<\/strong> Ability to lift and move around hardware and equipment<\/strong> (servers, printers, fax machines, copiers, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Project Implementation:<\/strong> Assist in on-site project implementation and evaluate\/recommend software and hardware products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required and Preferred Technical Knowledge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The role requires a strong generalist with hands-on experience in the Windows and network ecosystem, and the ability to travel and maintain a flexible schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Networking & Tools:<\/strong> Strong knowledge of implementing and utilizing remote network management and monitoring tools<\/strong>. Experience with storage management, TCP\/IP, network monitoring, and tools<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Operating Systems & Apps:<\/strong> Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting:\n
        \n
      • Active Directory<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • M365<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Windows Server OS<\/strong> and Windows desktop operating systems<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Outlook\/Exchange<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Anti-virus, back-ups,<\/strong> and other desktop applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Hardware\/Software:<\/strong> Experience supporting both hardware and software applications in Windows<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Travel\/Logistics:<\/strong> Ability to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule. Must have their own transportation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Added Bonuses (Preferred):<\/strong>\n

        • Server administration skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Experience supporting Virtual Desktop Environment (VDI)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Experience with VMWare<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Basic knowledge of supporting the Azure environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Support experience with FIS banking applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
