Aventiv Technologies<\/strong> is hiring a System Administrator II<\/strong> responsible for the effective management and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on the Data Center<\/strong> space. This role is highly project-focused and involves advanced system management, troubleshooting, and mentoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time<\/strong> position in the United States<\/strong> with a salary range of $89,313.08 \u2013 $101,816.91 per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Duties and Data Center Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The System Administrator II operates at an intermediate to senior level, handling complex configurations, driving performance optimization, and maintaining the physical integrity of the data center environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Server & System Management:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Install, configure, and maintain advanced server environments<\/strong>, including virtualized (VMware WSXi & vCenter Server<\/strong>) and cloud-based systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Install, configure, and maintain advanced software, applications, and services across multiple platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Independently manage critical system configurations and drive system performance optimization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Monitor IT systems and infrastructure continuously to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identify and address system bottlenecks (server load, network congestion, storage limitations) through proactive analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues<\/strong>, including OS failures, network outages, and hardware malfunctions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Data Center Physical Integrity:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly inspections of UPS, generator, air conditioning, and environmental systems<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Installation and maintenance of Power Distribution Units (PDUs)<\/strong>, IT security appliances, and camera compliance systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including replacing\/upgrading components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Security & Mentorship:<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies<\/strong> (access control, authentication, data encryption).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Provide advanced technical support, resolve escalated incidents, and support and mentor entry-level administrators<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Develop, update, and maintain detailed system documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Required Experience and Technical Knowledge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            The role demands a minimum of three years of professional experience with core Microsoft and virtualization technologies, along with deep infrastructure knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Minimum Technical Experience:<\/strong>\n
                \n
              • 3+ years<\/strong> of professional experience in Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Experience with VMware WSXi & vCenter Server<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Experience with Active Directory, Azure, and Entra ID<\/strong> (formerly Azure AD).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Knowledge & Skills:<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                • In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage solutions<\/strong> (SAN and NAS<\/strong>), including configuration and management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Comprehensive understanding of system security frameworks, including vulnerability assessments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Advanced proficiency in disaster recovery planning<\/strong> and comprehensive backup\/restore operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Demonstrated experience using advanced system monitoring tools<\/strong> and methodologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Physical Requirements:<\/strong> Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds<\/strong>; work may involve raised floor environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree; Industry Standard Certifications such as VCP, AZ-800, AZ-801<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
