This role is a hands-on, strategic position focused on owning the cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and platform reliability within a highly regulated environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Remote<\/strong> position in the USA. The estimated salary range is $100,000 \u2013 $125,000 per year<\/strong>, plus equity opportunities and comprehensive benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Role and Core Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The System Administrator will serve as the primary resource for infrastructure design and operations, partnering closely with engineering on architecture, security, and critical compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC-II, HIPAA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You’ll Do:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Architecture & Reliability:<\/strong> Architect, review, and implement server\/cloud infrastructure changes<\/strong> and improvements to ensure scalability, security, and availability<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • DevOps & Automation:<\/strong> Collaborate with the development team to plan and provision infrastructure that supports application design and operations. This involves proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform)<\/strong> and CI\/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or equivalent)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Partner with information security to maintain compliance with HITRUST, SOC-II, and HIPAA<\/strong> standards, and implement security improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Networking & Monitoring:<\/strong> Manage existing cloud networking infrastructure and configure new third-party connections\/VPN tunnels as needed. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues affecting infrastructure and applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Documentation & Metrics:<\/strong> Document infrastructure standards, changes, and conventions. Track and report against key performance metrics (KPIs) like system availability and security incident counts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Expertise and Technology Stack<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The role requires deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Azure, and a strong background in managing compliant, scalable cloud environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Cloud Expertise (Mandatory):<\/strong> Expertise in Microsoft Azure<\/strong> (compute, networking, storage, and security services).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Automation:<\/strong> Proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Security & Identity:<\/strong> Strong knowledge of security\/compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC-II, HIPAA<\/strong>). Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management (e.g., Intune)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • DevOps:<\/strong> Experience with CI\/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or equivalent)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Exposure (Nice-to-Have):<\/strong> Exposure to containerization\/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker<\/strong>) and database administration (SQL, MongoDB, Redis<\/strong>). Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
