Jenzabar<\/strong> is seeking a Senior SQL Database Architect<\/strong> to join their Product Development team.<\/sup> This critical, remote role is responsible for the design, effective implementation, and maintenance of database structures for Jenzabar software.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pay range for this full-time position is $91,000 \u2013 $108,000 per year<\/strong>, plus an annual bonus and a full range of benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Senior Database Architect will align database structures with the company’s business requirements, ensuring effective performance and implementation across multiple customer systems (a multi-server environment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Database Design & Modeling:<\/strong> Collaborate with design and development teams to create database designs, perform database modeling<\/strong>, and effectively communicate schema structures<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • SQL Development:<\/strong> Design, create, and debug SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views<\/strong> (using SQL DML, DDL, and DCL commands).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Performance & Maintenance:<\/strong> Optimize system performance through index tuning and disk optimization<\/strong>. Maintain and update databases used by the product development team across multiple versions of Jenzabar software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • System Administration:<\/strong> Manage replication, backup processes, partitions, storage, and access controls<\/strong>, and oversee user privileges (SQL permissions). This is critical due to the multi-server deployment<\/strong> across hundreds of customer systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Mentorship & Training:<\/strong> Assist in training Development team members<\/strong> in SQL best practices and database management; mentor junior team members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strategy & Compliance:<\/strong> Stay informed about new releases of Microsoft SQL Server<\/strong> and evaluate their potential impacts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Skills and Expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and development, coupled with proven mentoring abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Core Technology:<\/strong> Extensive experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server<\/strong> database systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • SQL Expertise:<\/strong> Proven ability to design and code complex database procedures, triggers, and views. Expertise in teaching and applying SQL DML, DDL, and DCL commands<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Architecture Knowledge:<\/strong> Deep understanding of relational database concepts<\/strong> and database delivery concepts in multi-server environments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Preferred Skills:<\/strong> Experience managing databases in high-availability<\/strong> production environments, proficiency in T-SQL<\/strong> queries, and familiarity with a higher education environment<\/strong> and Microsoft Active Directory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
