Essential Responsibilities and Application Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This position is a mid-level role that requires a mix of design consultation, hands-on administration, and policy contribution, with a focus on high reliability and security within the application ecosystem. The role includes participating in an after-hours on-call rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Application Systems Design:<\/strong>\n

    • Actively participate in the design and maintenance of highly reliable server-side applications<\/strong> (Microsoft environment, enterprise\/custom applications, data backup, and cloud services).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Advise other IS teams<\/strong> on best practices for application\/process design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Participate in the maintenance of the enterprise application portfolio and inventory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Application Systems Administration and Operations:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Execute tasks related to tickets and service requests<\/strong> for server-side activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Actively maintain application and server software<\/strong> (updates and upgrades).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Analyze business needs<\/strong>; research and recommend solutions, including risks and mitigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Run and review reports on application performance and event anomalies; make internal adjustments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Develop and maintain appropriate application documentation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Actively configure user account access<\/strong> to applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Standards and Policy Administration:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Propose requirements and standards for application selection and deployment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Assist with the development and management of application\/database security policies<\/strong> (e.g., web applications and SQL server security).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Participate in planning for and supporting Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Vendor Coordination:<\/strong>\n

          • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external partners and application vendors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Conduct product and vendor research<\/strong> and present recommendations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Maintain service contracts and licensing; monitor adherence to SLAs<\/strong> with outside parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Required and Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            The ideal candidate has foundational experience in application support, scripting, cloud offerings, and knowledge of IT service management concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Required Experience & Knowledge:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            • Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in Application and Administration support<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Experience should include some or all of the following:\n
                \n
              • Scripting and automation<\/strong> (PowerShell and T-SQL preferred).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Understanding of Cloud and “as a Service” offerings<\/strong> (Azure\/AWS preferred).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • General understanding in Windows environments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • ITIL concepts and practices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Systems integration and data flow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Advanced knowledge in some or all of the following HealthTech\/Enterprise platforms<\/strong>:\n
                  \n
                • Enterprise applications integration<\/strong> and business process automation tools (e.g., BizTalk).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Claims processing technologies<\/strong> (e.g., QNXT, Facets).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Electronic health record technologies<\/strong> (e.g., EPIC, Allscripts).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Document management and collaboration platforms<\/strong> (e.g., SharePoint, Office 365).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Compute environments (server hardware, storage, virtualization).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Preferred Experience:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

                  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Mid-level Microsoft certifications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • SQL experience, Tableau server administration experience<\/strong>, and FTP\/SFTP file transfer experience<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
