Planned Systems International (PSI)<\/strong>, an Enterprise IT services company focused on Federal Government organizations, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Web Application Developer<\/strong>. This role involves participation in the full Agile application development lifecycle for Java-based web applications and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Remote<\/strong> position in the United States. U.S. Citizenship is required<\/strong>, and candidates must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential Functions and Development Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Web Application Developer will be a key contributor to a dynamic team, focusing on the design, construction, and testing of highly scalable, cloud-based Java applications and components within an Agile framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Application Development Lifecycle:<\/strong> Participate in the full Agile application development life cycle<\/strong> for new development design, construction, and testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Core Technology Focus:<\/strong> Development of Java applications<\/strong>, Web Services (SOAP and REST)<\/strong>, and reusable components.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Quality Assurance:<\/strong> Participate in peer reviews<\/strong> and unit testing<\/strong>. Assist development\/test teams with acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Standards & Collaboration:<\/strong> Adhere to, promote, and help maintain development standards and best practices; participate in regular code reviews<\/strong>. Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Agile Communication:<\/strong> Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Minimum and Desired Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has hands-on Java development experience, knowledge of cloud environments, and experience working within an Agile, incremental delivery model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Minimum Requirements:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of hands-on development experience with open source Java stack<\/strong> (or equivalent combination of education\/experience\/certification).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Deep understanding and experience with designing and implementing highly scalable web applications in a cloud environment.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD)<\/strong>, and cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Familiarity with J2EE\/Java Frameworks<\/strong> and overall Java development techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Familiarity with Agile incremental delivery approach<\/strong> and rapid prototyping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Security & Clearance (Mandatory):<\/strong> U.S. Citizenship is required<\/strong>. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Desired Qualifications (Bonus):<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Currently holds a DHS Public Trust Clearance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Certified in Lean Software Development, Kanban, Scrum,<\/strong> and other Agile processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Experience<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
