This role focuses on maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing security standards within a mainframe environment using CA Top Secret for z\/OS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Fully Remote (Any Location)<\/strong> position. The likely salary range is $114,750 \u2013 $155,250<\/strong>. U.S. Citizenship is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Mainframe Security Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Systems Administrator provides mentor-level support, focusing on the security, administration, and monitoring of the mainframe environment. Key responsibilities revolve around the operation and maintenance of CA Top Secret for z\/OS<\/strong> and adherence to strict security standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • CA Top Secret Administration:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Provide in-depth knowledge of CA Top Secret for z\/OS<\/strong> and the ability to externalize security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hands-on administration of z\/OS, CICS, and Top Secret login IDs<\/strong>, datasets, and resource rules<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Find and remove obsolete, unused, redundant, and excessive access rights<\/strong> in CA Top Secret.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Understand group structures<\/strong> and UID string setup<\/strong> for mainframe resource access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Security Monitoring & Compliance:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Monitor the environment for adherence to security standards.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Review and monitor mainframe security reports<\/strong> for possible policy violations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Execute mainframe vulnerability scans<\/strong> utilizing zSecure<\/strong> and other security tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Review and report on access violation reports (Universal Access, revoked users, Super UNIX User, CICS\/IMS\/DB2 Access).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Support & Liaison:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Provide mentor-level support<\/strong> experience and act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC)<\/strong> for the customer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Provide off-hour on-call support<\/strong> for security related incidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Liaison with business areas and other technical support teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Required Experience and Technical Expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          The candidate must have substantial, dedicated experience with the CA Top Secret product suite within an IBM z\/OS mainframe environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • 7+ years of related experience.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • In-depth knowledge of CA Top Secret for z\/OS<\/strong> (Computer Associates’ mainframe security product).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Hands-on experience and knowledge of CA Top Secret and z\/OS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Core Skills:<\/strong>\n
                \n
              • Hands-on administration of z\/OS, CICS<\/strong>, and Top Secret security objects (IDs, dataset\/resource rules).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Familiarity with executing security tools like zSecure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Deep understanding of access review and cleanup best practices (removing obsolete\/excessive access).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
