Voltera<\/strong>, a company developing, owning, and operating infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles, is seeking an IT Architect & System Administrator<\/strong>. This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire technology strategy, corporate and field IT operations, security, and data flow across a rapidly growing, infrastructure-heavy environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, or Denver, CO<\/strong> (Remote considered, but LA\/Denver strongly preferred).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Strategic Leadership Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This IT leader will be responsible for building a secure, scalable IT foundation that supports Voltera’s growth in development, construction, and operations. You will function as both a strategic architect and a hands-on administrator, ensuring system efficiency, cohesion, and compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You\u2019ll Do:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Strategy & Planning:<\/strong> Develop and execute an IT roadmap<\/strong> aligned with company goals. Manage IT budgeting, vendor selection, and contracts to ensure operational and fiscal excellence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Infrastructure Design:<\/strong> Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure across offices, job sites, and remote environments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Enterprise System Ownership:<\/strong> Lead administration and optimization of critical enterprise systems, including CRM (Salesforce), ERP (NetSuite)<\/strong>, and collaboration tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Oversee the cybersecurity framework, policies, and compliance<\/strong> with standards like ISO, NIST, SOC2<\/strong>, and privacy regulations. Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Operational Excellence:<\/strong> Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning<\/strong>. Manage device lifecycle and asset management programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Data Integration:<\/strong> Support the integration of field and operational data<\/strong> into enterprise systems for visibility and reporting. Collaborate to streamline data flows between field systems, analytics platforms, and enterprise tools (requiring occasional hands-on integration development).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Team Leadership:<\/strong> Build and lead a high-performing, service-oriented IT team<\/strong> focused on reliability and improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Must-Have Experience and Technical Expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate must be a proven strategic leader with significant experience scaling IT systems in multi-site environments, combined with direct, hands-on expertise in key enterprise platforms and security controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Experience & Leadership (Mandatory):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • 8+ years of progressive IT experience<\/strong>, including at least 3\u20135 years in a leadership role<\/strong> managing corporate and distributed infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Proven success scaling IT systems and processes<\/strong> in a growth-stage or multi-site environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Core Technical Expertise:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS)<\/strong>, MS 365 access controls<\/strong>, and cybersecurity best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Proven hands-on expertise<\/strong> with Salesforce (admin and development)<\/strong>, NetSuite<\/strong>, and Power BI<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Demonstrated success in implementing and integrating SaaS and cloud-based platforms<\/strong> across departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Nice-to-Have (Preferred):<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          • Industry Experience:<\/strong> Experience in the energy, construction, utilities, or EV infrastructure industries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Certifications:<\/strong> PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, AWS, Salesforce Administrator and\/or Developer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Compliance Knowledge:<\/strong> Familiarity with SOC2 Type-2, ISO 27001, and NIST 2.0 environments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
