Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions<\/strong> is seeking a Linux Server and WebSphere Administrator<\/strong> to join their Corporate IT team. This senior role is responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s critical Linux and WebSphere server infrastructure, operating within a hybrid cloud environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Hybrid or Remote<\/strong> position (Remote within the United States or Hybrid in Canton, MA). The typical base salary range is $119,000 \u2013 $168,000<\/strong>, with a higher range of $149,000 \u2013 $178,000<\/strong> for candidates in the NYC metro and San Francisco, CA areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Opportunity and Technology Focus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You will work with a modern enterprise stack, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)<\/strong>, OpenShift<\/strong>, WebSphere Application Server<\/strong>, and VMware<\/strong> virtualization. Success in this role will be driven by leading major technical projects, strong automation skills, and deep infrastructure expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Project Leadership:<\/strong> Lead major technical projects<\/strong> spanning multiple teams and technologies. Responsible for research, cost-benefit analysis, TCO calculation, project planning, implementation, and closure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Linux Administration:<\/strong> Administer and maintain RHEL server environments<\/strong>, including deployment, configuration, patching, software installs, permissions, and vulnerability remediation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • WebSphere & OpenShift:<\/strong> Administer and maintain WebSphere Application Server<\/strong> environments (provisioning applications, troubleshooting, service cycling) and support the Red Hat OpenShift<\/strong> environment (node configuration, project access, container adoption support).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation:<\/strong> Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks<\/strong> or other automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Terraform) for provisioning and configuration to improve operational efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitoring & Support:<\/strong> Support DataDog agent configuration<\/strong> and monitoring, provide Tier III support<\/strong> for incident tickets, and participate in an on-call rotation<\/strong> and incident response.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability management<\/strong> and ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Mentorship:<\/strong> Provide support and mentorship to junior team members<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Expertise and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has a strong background in RHEL, significant container orchestration experience, and demonstrated proficiency in application server management and automation scripting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • 5+ years of experience in Linux Server administration (RHEL preferred).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or equivalent platform such as Kubernetes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Application & Automation:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Experience with WebSphere Application Server<\/strong> or equivalent platform is strongly desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, Python, and Terraform is strongly preferred<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Supporting Technologies:<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • Experience with CI\/CD, GitHub, GitHub Actions<\/strong>, and general application development is preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Experience with Microsoft Azure<\/strong> and other cloud environments preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Experience with Commvault, NetApp, and enterprise backup\/storage is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Education:<\/strong> A Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technology-related field is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
