Fusion Technology<\/strong>, a HUBZone Small Business concern providing IT services to US Government programs and the Intel Community, is seeking a Senior System Administrator<\/strong>. This role is critical for ensuring the uptime, performance, resources, and security of managed environments.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Fully Remote<\/strong> position, located in the Remote, VA, USA<\/strong> area. Crucially, a DoD Secret Clearance is a mandatory requirement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Technical Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Senior System Administrator will be a key leader in the deployment, hardening, and maintenance of both RHEL and Windows-based systems. The role emphasizes automation (Ansible\/Jenkins), cloud administration (AWS), and leveraging monitoring tools (Splunk\/Grafana) to support Java-based and Pega applications.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You’ll Do:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Deployment & CI\/CD:<\/strong> Lead and assist with functional builds and deployments across non-production and production environments using Jenkins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • System Orchestration:<\/strong> Orchestrate the installation, hardening, testing, and ongoing maintenance of RHEL 7\/8\/9 & Windows-based systems<\/strong>, with a focus on continuous improvement and security enhancement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation & Patching:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Automate Application server deployment for Pega and Tomcat Web Server using Ansible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Use Ansible to apply OS patches on RHEL 7\/8\/9<\/strong> across multiple environments to introduce efficiency gains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Application Support:<\/strong> Provide dedicated support to PEGA developers, Java developers, and DBAs<\/strong>, addressing application upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Application and RHEL OS issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Security & Monitoring:<\/strong> Analyze security requirements (Compliance, Standards, etc.) and apply the latest security patches<\/strong>. Leverage Splunk, Grafana, and Ansible<\/strong> to manage and enhance Java-based applications, system monitoring, analytics, and automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The ideal candidate possesses a substantial background in IT, mandatory experience with a wide array of AWS services, deep Linux administration skills (RHEL), and the requisite security clearance.<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Security Clearance (Mandatory):<\/strong> Must possess a DOD Secret Clearance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience & Education:<\/strong> Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 7+ years of experience<\/strong> in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Core Systems:<\/strong> 7+ years of experience<\/strong> in upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • AWS Infrastructure:<\/strong> Experience in supporting AWS infrastructure implementation\/administration<\/strong> across a wide array of services: AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, EFS, RDS, S3, KMS, ELB, Auto Scaling, Security groups, ACL, Cloud Trail, and Cloud Watch<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • DevOps & Monitoring:<\/strong> Extensive experience with Splunk, Grafana, and Ansible<\/strong> for system monitoring, analytics, and automation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Application Expertise:<\/strong> Experience managing and enhancing Java-based applications<\/strong> and supporting specific platforms like Pega<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
