River<\/strong>, a financial institution building trusted products powered by Bitcoin, is seeking a security-minded Infrastructure Engineer<\/strong> to secure, simplify, and scale their systems. This high-impact role focuses on infrastructure and security engineering within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP)<\/strong> environment, including some on-premises systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Remote<\/strong> position within the United States. The salary range is $150,000 \u2013 $220,000\/yr<\/strong> plus significant equity stock options. U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Security\/Scalability Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Infrastructure Engineer will be a key leader in the infrastructure organization, ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of systems that handle client funds and services related to buying, selling, and securing Bitcoin. You will be expected to take full ownership of the systems you build.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You Will Be Doing:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • System Building:<\/strong> Build the systems that power the deployment, monitoring, and scaling<\/strong> of software services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Reliability:<\/strong> Lead projects to improve security, availability, reliability, and scalability<\/strong> across the entire infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Disaster Recovery:<\/strong> Create and execute on disaster recovery plans<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On-Call & Culture:<\/strong> Participate in on-call rotations<\/strong> and actively shape the culture of the infrastructure organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Problem Solving:<\/strong> Develop solutions to ambiguous problems while supporting engineering teams collaboratively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has deep expertise in security and GCP services, specifically running production Kubernetes, and demonstrated hands-on coding ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • At least 3 years of experience<\/strong> in a DevOps, Infra, and\/or SRE role<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience running Kubernetes in production<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Hands-on coding ability<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Technical Expertise:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Deep understanding of computer and network security<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Highly proficient with Google Cloud Platform services<\/strong> like GKE<\/strong>, CloudSQL, LoadBalancing, CloudArmor<\/strong>, Networking, BigQuery, Compute, and Security services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Strong network perimeter defense and analysis skills<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Citizenship (Mandatory):<\/strong> Must be a U.S. Citizen<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Nice to Haves (Preferred):<\/strong>\n

          • Experience working on financial services infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
