Bentley Systems<\/strong>, a world-leading software company providing solutions for architecture, engineering, and construction, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer<\/strong>. This role is primarily responsible for providing expert technical support for Bentley’s structural engineering software, specifically STAAD.Pro and STAAD Foundation Advanced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Home-based (Remote)<\/strong> position in the US, expected to work 40 hours per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and STAAD Support Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This engineer will serve as the primary technical contact for users of Bentley’s STAAD products, requiring a blend of technical expertise, troubleshooting acumen, and collaboration with product development teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Technical Support:<\/strong> Provide technical support to users through Web, Phone, and Email on STAAD products<\/strong> like STAAD.Pro<\/strong> and STAAD Foundation Advanced<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution:<\/strong> Troubleshoot and resolve user issues quickly and accurately to drive user satisfaction and product usage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Product Development Liaison:<\/strong> Help in developing the product by conveying user feedback<\/strong> to the product team through logging of bugs and enhancement requests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Prioritization & Coordination:<\/strong> Coordinate with Development, QA, and Product Management teams to prioritize bug fixes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Knowledge Creation:<\/strong> Create and edit knowledge articles<\/strong> to keep them current, and use them to support users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • QA & Presentations:<\/strong> Test a product or a feature before a release and carry out on-site\/web-based technical presentations to users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate must possess a background in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a foundational understanding of design codes and industry modeling practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Education (Mandatory):<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering<\/strong>, or equivalent training and experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Structural Knowledge (Required):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Knowledge of US steel & concrete design codes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Knowledge of building modeling, factory shed modeling & design<\/strong> would be preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Industry Experience (Preferred):<\/strong> 1\u20133 years of prior experience in a Structural Engineering project<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Software Experience (Advantage):<\/strong> Experience with STAAD.Pro<\/strong>, RAM Connection, ETABS, SAP2000, or RISA would be an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
