SigNoz<\/strong>, a global open-source project building an application monitoring platform (Observability), is hiring a Technical Support Engineer<\/strong>. This is a highly technical role where you will be expected to solve real problems<\/strong> without constant escalation to engineering, focusing on debugging instrumentation, troubleshooting queries, and optimizing customer observability setups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Full-time, Remote (US-based)<\/strong> position with a salary range of $100K – $150K<\/strong>. This is a chance to be a founding team member<\/strong> for the support function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Technical Support Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is explicitly not a typical Tier-1 support role<\/strong>. You will be joining a YC-backed global open-source product and tasked with both direct, deep technical problem-solving and building the entire support infrastructure from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You Will Contribute:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • Deep Technical Problem Solving:<\/strong> Debug OpenTelemetry instrumentation issues, troubleshoot ClickHouse queries, and optimize customer observability setups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support Infrastructure Buildout:<\/strong> Create the knowledge base<\/strong>, establish support processes, and set up tooling for a world-class support experience from the ground up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Community Engagement:<\/strong> Be passionate about engaging with the open-source community, being active in GitHub issues, Slack discussions, and technical forums (SigNoz has 23,000+ GitHub stars).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Path to Product:<\/strong> This role offers a path to product roles within the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has a strong DevOps background, hands-on experience with observability tools, and the technical aptitude to act as an extension of the engineering team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience (Mandatory):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • 1+ years of experience<\/strong> in a technical support or DevOps role<\/strong> supporting technical audiences (SREs, Platform Engineers, DevOps teams).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Strong learning skills<\/strong> to quickly pick up new technologies and dive deep into complex technical problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Technical Expertise:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Hands-on experience with observability tools<\/strong> (Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, DataDog, or similar platforms).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • DevOps background,<\/strong> including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)<\/strong>, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms (AWS)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Programming ability<\/strong> to read and debug code in at least one language (Go, Python, or JavaScript<\/strong> preferred).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
