Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM)<\/strong> is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer I<\/strong> to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house information systems supporting core organizational functions. This role is focused on designing and supporting all networks (voice, data, wireless) and networked software to ensure a positive user experience of in-store technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time, Virtual (Remote)<\/strong> position, with a pay range of $45,793 – $79,148.00 annually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Duties and Systems Reliability Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As an engineer, I will be responsible for a blend of strategic planning, hands-on development, and proactive support, ensuring systems and networks are optimized and secure, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Strategy & Planning:<\/strong> Collaborate with infrastructure staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems that fulfill business objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Design & Enhancement:<\/strong> Design and deploy enhancements to existing applications, operating systems, and networks; ensure compatibility and interoperability with existing infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Policy & Documentation:<\/strong> Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Auditing:<\/strong> Design and perform server and security audits<\/strong>, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Optimization:<\/strong> Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and networks, then develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Research & Support:<\/strong> Conduct research on network and systems products to remain current with industry trends and provide end-user support for daily operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has a background in systems and network engineering with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and a desire to automate and manage Azure resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Experience (Required):<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • 2\u20134 years\u2019 experience,<\/strong> including systems and network engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience providing end-user support for operating systems, applications, and services (e.g., Microsoft Office, Exchange, Print).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Understands Service Desk methodologies<\/strong> and ensures support issues are resolved within SLAs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Core Technical Knowledge:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Strong technical knowledge of Client\/Server Operating Systems, Cloud\/Print Management, Security Applications, and Networking<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 Services<\/strong> and Operations Management suites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Microsoft Ecosystem Skills (Hands-on):<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • Utilize PowerShell<\/strong> for system administration, automation, and enhancing operational efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Manage and administer Azure-based resources<\/strong>, including Azure Virtual Desktop<\/strong>, and handle basic Azure infrastructure tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Administer and develop solutions in SharePoint<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Develop and maintain workflows using Power Automate<\/strong> and create custom business solutions using Power Apps<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Soft Requirements:<\/strong> In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
