A Cloud Security Engineer<\/strong> is sought to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s cloud environments. The primary focus is to design, implement, and manage security solutions<\/strong> across multi-cloud infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services. This role champions a security-by-design<\/strong> approach, integrating robust controls and continuous monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time, remote<\/strong> position. The budgeted salary range is $127,545 \u2013 $159,431 USD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core Responsibilities and Security Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Engineer will collaborate closely with compliance, IT, and DevOps teams to align deployments with regulations and best practices, integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI\/CD pipelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major Duties:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • Architecture and Design:<\/strong> Design and implement secure cloud architectures and controls for infrastructure, applications, and data across multi-cloud environments<\/strong> (AWS, Azure, OCI<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Policy and Enforcement:<\/strong> Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring alignment with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, SOX<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security Automation:<\/strong> Work with DevOps teams to incorporate security automation, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/strong> tools like Terraform\/Ansible<\/strong> to enforce configurations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Tool Management:<\/strong> Configure, maintain, and review security tools, including Web Application Firewalls (WAFs)<\/strong>, encryption, key management, and endpoint security solutions (CloudFlare, Crowdstrike<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitoring and Response:<\/strong> Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM solutions<\/strong> (Splunk, Azure Sentinel<\/strong>) and conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Guidance:<\/strong> Provide expert security guidance during engineering, IT, and application design reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has significant experience in public cloud security, hands-on experience integrating security into CI\/CD, and a strong understanding of compliance and foundational IT principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Experience and Technical Requirements:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • 5-7 years of experience<\/strong> in public cloud security, including AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • DevSecOps:<\/strong> Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and security integration into CI\/CD pipelines<\/strong> and automated security testing tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • IaC Proficiency:<\/strong> Working knowledge with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/strong> tools like Terraform\/Ansible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Security Tooling:<\/strong> Advanced experience deploying and customizing security tools such as WAFs, encryption, key management, FIM, and DLP solutions<\/strong> in Cloud environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • System Foundation:<\/strong> Strong engineering skills with Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and network switching.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Compliance:<\/strong> Familiarity implementing security controls to comply with HIPAA, SOC2, and SOX<\/strong> assessments\/audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • SIEM:<\/strong> Experience configuring, optimizing, and analyzing logs using Splunk and Azure Sentinel.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
