We are seeking an AWS CNS Engineer<\/strong>\u2014a specialized cloud network engineer\u2014to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing network environments within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role focuses on using deep technical skill and ingenuity to support mission-critical cloud services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time<\/strong> position based in Mapleton, UT, United States<\/strong>, offering remote work (home office flexibility)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Network Automation Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The AWS CNS Engineer will be expected to continuously improve and deliver advanced AWS network systems while relentlessly pursuing automation. You will be instrumental in creating secure and resilient environments using core AWS networking services and security tools, supporting clients in an increasingly connected world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Design & Deployment:<\/strong> Design and deploy advanced AWS network systems<\/strong>, creating blueprints and roadmaps for VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and VPNs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Optimization:<\/strong> Secure and optimize cloud environments using native tools like AWS Shield, NACLs, Security Groups<\/strong>, and industry best practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation:<\/strong> Automate relentlessly<\/strong> using Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation<\/strong> to streamline deployment and maintenance and eliminate friction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Troubleshooting & Support:<\/strong> Provide high-level troubleshooting and support, ensuring reliability, stability, and resilience of the network systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Collaboration:<\/strong> Work across disciplines with architects, developers, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Documentation:<\/strong> Document and share designs, processes, and lessons learned to strengthen the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in both traditional networking and cloud-native AWS services, with a demonstrated ability to automate infrastructure deployments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Minimum Requirements:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and 3 years of relevant experience.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Hands-on AWS networking experience<\/strong> with services like VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, Transit Gateway, and Load Balancing.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Strong foundation in TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Must be authorized to work in the USA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n

          Additional Qualifications (Highly Preferred):<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

          • AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty<\/strong> or equivalent certification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Familiarity with compliance standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • United States Government contractor experience (preference given to Veterans Affairs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
