An opportunity is available for an IT Manager<\/strong> to lead the Applications Delivery Team for the Lands’ End Outfitters (LEO)<\/strong>, the company’s Business-to-Business (B2B) division. This critical role is responsible for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the B2B e-commerce platform and its enterprise-specific customer sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time<\/strong> position primarily conducted remotely<\/strong>. However, if you reside within 60 miles of the Dodgeville, WI office, you are expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for up to four days per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and B2B E-commerce Operations Mandate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Manager will provide highly engaged leadership, focusing heavily on Operational Excellence<\/strong>, Service Level Agreement (SLA) management<\/strong>, and implementing Service Reliability Engineering (SRE)<\/strong> practices. The core mission is to ensure a reliable and seamless customer experience across the B2B platform while leading and mentoring a hybrid team of employees and contractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • Operational Excellence & SLAs:<\/strong> Proactively monitor system performance<\/strong>, implement robust controls for system integrity, and ensure all LEO systems meet or exceed defined SLAs<\/strong> to minimize incidents and downtime.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Customer-Facing Platform Support:<\/strong> Oversee the technical operations of the B2B e-commerce platform<\/strong> and support enterprise-specific site functionality tailored to individual client needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Reliability & Improvement:<\/strong> Drive initiatives to reduce the volume and severity of technical incidents<\/strong>. Analyze trends and root causes to implement long-term solutions, embedding an SRE mindset<\/strong> across e-commerce product teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Team Leadership & Delivery:<\/strong> Lead and manage the Applications Delivery Team<\/strong> (employees and contractors) using Agile methodology<\/strong> to execute the technical roadmap. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strategic Contribution:<\/strong> Contribute to the evolution and potential consolidation of e-commerce platforms and collaborate cross-functionally to align technology initiatives with business goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • People Management:<\/strong> Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members. Manage recruitment, conduct performance evaluations, and coordinate professional development programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate is an experienced IT operations leader with a background in e-commerce, proven success in driving service improvements, and strong managerial skills over complex hybrid teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience:<\/strong> 5-8 years of experience<\/strong> in IT operations, application support, or systems management, combined with relevant leadership roles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Leadership Style:<\/strong> Proven leadership experience with hybrid teams<\/strong> (employees and contractors, onshore and offshore) and an highly engaged leadership style<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Operational Expertise:<\/strong> Demonstrated success in SLA management, incident reduction, and SRE practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Industry Knowledge:<\/strong> Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, the retail space, and enterprise system architecture.<\/strong> Experience in B2B environments<\/strong> is highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Methodologies:<\/strong> Experience with Agile methodology<\/strong> for product delivery. Familiarity with ITIL<\/strong> or other service management frameworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Infrastructure:<\/strong> Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and modern DevOps practices<\/strong> is a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master\u2019s degree preferred). Professional certifications are a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
