A leadership opportunity is available for a Director of IT<\/strong> at Serve Robotics<\/strong>, a company focused on transforming last-mile delivery with autonomous sidewalk robots. This Director will lead the company’s entire IT strategy and operations, scaling systems to support rapid growth, R&D, and live robot delivery operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time, remote<\/strong> position in the U.S. and select Canadian provinces (e.g., British Columbia, Quebec, Ontario). The salary range is $210K \u2013 $250K<\/strong>, plus equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Robotics\/Growth Mandate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This role balances high-level strategy with hands-on execution. The Director will own the IT infrastructure, security implementation, and support services across delivery depots, engineering labs, and corporate offices. This is a critical leadership position focused on reliability, compliance, and user experience in a fast-moving, high-growth, tech-driven environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Strategic Leadership:<\/strong> Define and execute the IT roadmap<\/strong> aligned with Serve’s growth, expansion, and R&D goals. Lead IT planning for new markets, acquisitions, and major company initiatives<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Infrastructure & Systems:<\/strong> Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services, focusing on uptime and scalability. Implement collaboration, productivity, and ERP systems. Support IoT and edge-device deployments<\/strong> critical to robotics delivery operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security & Compliance:<\/strong> Partner with security leaders to drive identity management, endpoint protection, and incident response. Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA<\/strong>, and related requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Team & Operations:<\/strong> Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing IT team<\/strong>. Establish and meet SLAs for IT support<\/strong> across offices, labs, and depots. Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT operations leader with a track record of scaling infrastructure in high-growth, technology-intensive companies, and deep expertise across networking and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience (Required):<\/strong> 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations<\/strong>, with 5+ years in leadership<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • High-Growth Environment:<\/strong> Proven experience managing enterprise IT environments in high-growth, tech-driven companies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Operational Scale:<\/strong> Experience managing live operations across multiple time zones<\/strong> and supporting rapid operational expansion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Technical Depth:<\/strong> Deep expertise in networking, cloud platforms, identity management, and enterprise systems.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Leadership Skills:<\/strong> Track record of hiring and scaling IT teams and infrastructure<\/strong>. Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      What Makes You Stand Out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • Experience with IoT deployments<\/strong> (smart devices at the edge) is highly desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Exposure to robotics, logistics, or other live operations environments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • CCNA, CISSP,<\/strong> or equivalent prior networking experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
