This role is crucial for managing the sourcing and procurement of all technology-related goods and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time, remote<\/strong> position in the US, preferably based in Austin, Texas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Sourcing Mandate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, the Category Manager will be responsible for defining and executing sourcing strategies for critical IT categories, with a clear focus on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strategic vendor consolidation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Strategy & Planning:<\/strong> Develop and manage comprehensive category strategies and sourcing plans<\/strong> for all technology and IT contracts, including software, hardware, SaaS, and IT services<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Sourcing Execution:<\/strong> Lead RFx processes, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations<\/strong> for IT spend. This includes working with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance and alignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cost Optimization & Consolidation:<\/strong> Conduct spend and market analysis<\/strong> to identify cost-saving opportunities. A key objective is to consolidate suppliers<\/strong> to unify IT solutions, reduce fragmentation, and streamline vendor management across the business.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management:<\/strong> Maintain strong relationships with key technology suppliers and internal partners. Track and analyze market trends<\/strong> and supplier landscapes to inform strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Contract Lifecycle Management:<\/strong> Support all aspects of contract management, including renewals, license optimization<\/strong>, and service level monitoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Metrics & Reporting:<\/strong> Track and maintain key procurement metrics, including savings, supplier performance<\/strong>, and compliance for audit and reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate is an experienced sourcing professional with a deep technical understanding of enterprise IT categories, strong negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience:<\/strong> 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management<\/strong>, specifically focused on IT categories<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Technical Knowledge:<\/strong> Working knowledge of IT concepts such as cloud infrastructure, software licensing, SaaS models, cybersecurity, and IT service agreements.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Sourcing Expertise:<\/strong> Strong negotiation skills<\/strong> and experience managing contract terms for enterprise software and technology vendors. Experience supporting sourcing strategies and RFx processes<\/strong> in a mid-to-large organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Data & Innovation:<\/strong> Strong analytical and communication skills. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies<\/strong> to improve workflows or enhance decision-making is a key attribute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
