An opportunity is available for a highly experienced Senior Director of Data Engineering<\/strong> at CrowdStrike<\/strong>, a global leader in AI-native cybersecurity. This strategic leadership role will drive the design, strategy, and delivery of enterprise data platforms and integrations, providing the foundation for Analytics, AI, and executive metrics across the global organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Role Summary and Strategic Data Mandate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Senior Director will define and execute the global enterprise data engineering roadmap, acting as a hands-on leader<\/strong> who bridges strategic business priorities (GTM, Finance, AI) with scalable technical execution across a complex, high-volume data environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Leadership & Strategy:<\/strong> Define and execute the enterprise data engineering roadmap<\/strong>. Act as a hands-on leader, actively participating in architecture reviews, pipeline design, and technical troubleshooting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Global Team Scaling:<\/strong> Build, mentor, and scale a global data engineering team<\/strong> with a focus on excellence and innovation, managing distributed engineering teams in high-growth environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Data Engineering & Integrations:<\/strong> Lead design and implementation of integrations and data curation efforts across core enterprise systems, including Sales\/Marketing tech stacks, Finance\/ERP systems<\/strong>, and other enterprise applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • AI & Metrics Enablement:<\/strong> Architect and deliver secure, scalable data pipelines to support analytics and AI. Deliver frameworks that provide consistent GTM (Go-to-Market), Customer Success, and executive metrics<\/strong>. Implement modern data protocols (e.g., MCP<\/strong>) to enable AI-driven workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Data Science Partnership:<\/strong> Partner closely with Data Scientists to ensure high-quality, curated datasets<\/strong> are consistently available for modeling and experimentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in modern cloud data stacks, a strong background in large-scale enterprise integrations, and extensive experience leading global engineering teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience:<\/strong> 15+ years of experience in data engineering, enterprise integrations, and analytics platforms<\/strong>, with 7+ years in senior leadership roles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Leadership Style:<\/strong> Demonstrated hands-on leadership<\/strong>\u2014capable of guiding design\/architecture while engaging in solutioning when necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Domain Expertise:<\/strong> Deep expertise with Sales\/Marketing tech stacks, Finance\/ERP systems, and enterprise-grade integrations.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • AI\/ML Support:<\/strong> Strong track record of supporting AI\/ML and Data Science teams<\/strong> through advanced data infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Required Technical Skills:<\/strong>\n

      • Cloud Data Warehouses:<\/strong> Expertise in Snowflake<\/strong> or Amazon Redshift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Orchestration & Workflow:<\/strong> Proficiency with Apache Airflow, DBT (data build tool)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Integration Platforms:<\/strong> Expertise in iPaaS solutions<\/strong> (MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi) and open-source frameworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Ingestion & Processing:<\/strong> Expertise in designing high-volume, real-time, and batch ingestion pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Programming:<\/strong> Proficiency in SQL, Python<\/strong>, and modern data modeling approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
