An opportunity has emerged in our network for a Senior IT Program Delivery Manager<\/strong> at Calix<\/strong>, a company providing cloud, software platforms, systems, and services for communications service providers. This senior leadership role provides end-to-end management and oversight for an integrated portfolio of 20 to 30+ IT projects<\/strong>, spanning both Infrastructure<\/strong> (network, cloud, platforms) and Software Development<\/strong> (AI agents, applications, data systems).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a full-time, remote<\/strong> position in North America, reporting to the Director of IT Delivery. The role is a high-visibility blend of strategic portfolio governance and hands-on project management, ensuring technology initiatives deliver measurable business value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities and Portfolio Ownership<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Manager will be the primary driver of the integrated IT roadmap, responsible for governance, transparency, risk management, and instilling delivery best practices across the enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Direct Project\/Program Delivery:<\/strong> Lead the execution of complex projects, driving rigorous planning, monitoring, and reporting of outcomes. Define and anticipate critical success factors<\/strong> (e.g., user adoption, risk reduction) beyond scope\/schedule\/budget.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Governance, Oversight & Reporting:<\/strong> Implement a robust governance framework, establish standard decision-making forums (steering committees, progress reviews), and provide visibility to executive leadership through regular dashboards on portfolio health, risks, and achievements<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Delivery Model & CI:<\/strong> Enforce a portfolio delivery model from intake through backlog maintenance and prioritization cadence. Champion a culture of continuous improvement<\/strong> by reviewing processes, implementing lessons learned, and driving the transition towards more agile and outcome-oriented delivery models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Resource & Capacity Management:<\/strong> Maintain a team-level view of delivery demand and capacity. Develop a demand forecast methodology<\/strong>, analyze resource utilization, and perform analysis of historical data to predict future resource needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Team Building & Mentorship:<\/strong> Serve as the primary liaison to senior stakeholders and provide direct project management while also mentoring other team members<\/strong> by embedding delivery standards and project management best practices (e.g., PMP, Scrum) into daily routines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This senior position requires extensive experience managing complex, integrated IT portfolios across both infrastructure and software development disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience:<\/strong> 10+ years of experience in IT project\/program delivery or IT operations management<\/strong>. This must include substantial experience managing large-scale, complex programs<\/strong> spanning multiple teams or functional areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Domain Breadth:<\/strong> Required experience covers both software development initiatives<\/strong> (e.g., enterprise software implementations, product development) and infrastructure projects<\/strong> (e.g., cloud migrations, service upgrades). Experience in a transformation environment (modernizing legacy systems, driving Agile adoption) is highly desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Methodologies (Required):<\/strong> Expertise and practical experience in both traditional project management (PMP\/PgMP)<\/strong> and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)<\/strong>. Must be able to apply hybrid models effectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Certifications (Required):<\/strong> Project or Program Management Professional (Pg\/PMP<\/strong>), Certified Scrum Master<\/strong>, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist<\/strong> are required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Technical Acumen:<\/strong> Broad technical knowledge with a solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure<\/strong> (cloud computing, cybersecurity, networks) and software development concepts<\/strong> (application architectures, APIs, DevOps toolchains). Comfort discussing and guiding technical trade-offs is necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
