An opportunity has emerged in our network for a DevOps Engineer<\/strong> at Responsive<\/strong> (formerly RFPIO), the market leader in Strategic Response Management SaaS. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in public-cloud infrastructure and large-scale SaaS operations, with a focus on supporting the multi-tenant platform used by over 2,000 customers, including tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This role is located in the United States (Texas priority)<\/strong>. The base salary range is $110,000\u2013$125,000<\/strong> annually, plus bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role and Core Focus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The successful candidate will own the entire build-and-run pipeline, ensuring the global-scale multi-tenant platform remains performant, secure, and cost-efficient. The focus is on implementing GitOps, cloud cost management, and advanced reliability engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & GitOps:<\/strong> Design, version, and govern cloud resources (AWS\/Azure\/GCP<\/strong>) using Terraform\/CloudFormation\/Pulumi<\/strong>, enforcing GitOps<\/strong>, drift detection, and automated compliance checks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Containerization & Orchestration:<\/strong> Operate and harden Kubernetes\/EKS<\/strong> (or AKS\/GKE) clusters tailored for multi-tenant SaaS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Reliability & CI\/CD:<\/strong> Build and maintain scalable pipelines for zero-downtime releases<\/strong>. Architect multi-AZ\/region failover, immutable backups, automated DR drills, and chaos-engineering experiments<\/strong>. Own runbooks for full-stack recovery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • DevSecOps & Security:<\/strong> Embed security controls (container scanning, SBOMs, IAM least-privilege, KMS, network segmentation<\/strong>), implement and manage WAF, DDoS protection<\/strong>, and participate in security architecture reviews.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Observability & Optimization:<\/strong> Instrument metrics, logs, and tracing. Drive post-incident RCAs<\/strong>. Analyze cloud spend, right-size resources, and tune application stacks for latency and throughput.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This senior-level role requires extensive experience operating mission-critical SaaS infrastructure and advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and IaC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Experience:<\/strong> 5+ years<\/strong> in DevOps\/SRE roles operating production SaaS on AWS<\/strong> (or equivalent public cloud).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Core Tooling:<\/strong> Expert in Terraform\/CloudFormation, Docker, and Kubernetes\/EKS.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cloud Architecture:<\/strong> Proven track record designing secure VPC architectures, load-balancers, and auto-scaling<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Scripting:<\/strong> Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash<\/strong>) for automation and tooling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Networking & IAM:<\/strong> Solid grasp of networking<\/strong> (TLS, VPC peering, VPN, service mesh<\/strong>) and cloud IAM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Operations:<\/strong> Comfortable leading high-severity incident response<\/strong> and post-mortems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Observability:<\/strong> Hands-on experience with observability stacks (New Relic, Grafana, ELK, Datadog<\/strong>, or similar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Preferred\/Nice-to-Have<\/strong> qualifications include professional certifications (DevOps Engineer \u2013 Professional, CKAD\/CKA<\/strong>), experience with multi-tenant SaaS hardening<\/strong> (tenant isolation, org-level RBAC), and familiarity with serverless technologies (Lambda) or edge compute (CloudFront).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
