ECS<\/strong> is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer<\/strong> to join a growing Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and AI\/ML team. This role is remote, supporting a government multi-cloud environment with a focus on designing, modernizing, and rapidly developing solutions within Microsoft Azure<\/strong>. The successful candidate will work with complex, mission-critical systems and is expected to provide technical depth and adaptability throughout the modernization journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This position is full-time, remote<\/strong>, with a salary range of $130,000 – $140,000<\/strong>. Candidates must be U.S. citizens<\/b> and able to obtain a DHS Public Trust Security Clearance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This role requires a blend of technical leadership, solution design, security, and hands-on engineering, specifically tailored for a government environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Azure Architecture & Expertise:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Provide subject matter expertise for designing cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and security guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Expert in GitLab CI, repository, and Ansible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Pipelines, and Azure Data Factory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Familiarity with Azure data storage, like SQL Server, SSIS<\/strong>, and data warehouse environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Solution Design & IaC:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Design and implement Azure solutions leveraging services such as Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Set up automation, CI\/CD pipelines<\/strong>, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/strong> using tools like Terraform or ARM templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Security and Compliance:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Design secure cloud architecture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards (including support with OS and application-level patching).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Implement security best practices, including Identity and Access Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Conduct risk assessments and audits to address vulnerabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Leadership and Collaboration:<\/strong> Serve as the technical platform engineer, providing guidance and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in Azure development, implementation, and leading technical projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Experience & Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical field or equivalent.\n
              \n
            • 7+ years<\/strong> of integration, systems analysis, or programming experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • 5+ years<\/strong> of developing systems requirements and design specifications in Azure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • 3+ years<\/strong> of experience in project management\/lead architect positions in Azure development or implementation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Expertise:<\/strong> Expertise in GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Azure Knowledge:<\/strong> Expert knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud and deployment in Government environments.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Soft Skills:<\/strong> Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and the ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
