The Role and Core Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As an SRE on the MANTL team, you will focus on automation, availability, monitoring, and security within a modern, cloud-native environment. Your work will directly impact platform stability and developer enablement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Infrastructure Ownership:<\/strong> You will own and evolve MANTL\u2019s infrastructure<\/strong>, making key build vs. buy decisions and prioritizing initiatives that enhance platform stability and the developer experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation Design:<\/strong> Design and implement automation for managing cloud infrastructure, observability<\/strong>, and incident response<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Platform Reliability:<\/strong> Collaborate across engineering teams to improve platform reliability and empower development teams to ship high-quality software easily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Integration and Partnership:<\/strong> Work closely with external partners and clients<\/strong> to overcome integration and infrastructure challenges, fueling business growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On-Call & Culture:<\/strong> Participate in an equitable on-call rotation<\/strong> supported by strong tooling and a focus on reducing toil and improving reliability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate is an empathetic, strategic, and tactical engineer with deep knowledge of modern infrastructure tooling, specifically within the Google Cloud ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Experience:<\/strong> 5+ years of experience<\/strong> building and supporting infrastructure using modern tooling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cloud Stack Proficiency:<\/strong> Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)<\/strong>, Docker<\/strong>, GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)<\/strong>, Postgres<\/strong>, Kafka<\/strong>, and Terraform<\/strong> (or their equivalents). Prior experience with GCP is a strong plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Programming:<\/strong> Proficiency in a strongly typed language<\/strong> (Go experience preferred<\/strong> or a willingness to learn).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • DevOps Mastery:<\/strong> Deep understanding of Kubernetes, CI\/CD pipelines, Git workflows<\/strong>, and core DevOps principles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Mindset:<\/strong> Must be comfortable operating at both strategic (roadmaps) and tactical (incident calls) levels, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain a strong product mindset<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
