A new opportunity is available for a Backend Engineer III<\/strong> at CrowdStrike<\/strong>, a global leader in cybersecurity and AI-native platforms. This is a full-time, remote<\/strong> position within the USA, working with the Managed Services team. The core mission of this role is to build, enhance, and operate large-scale distributed systems that process nearly 3 trillion events per day and are relied upon 24\/7\/365 to stop breaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 – $180,000 per year<\/strong>, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role and Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Falcon Complete<\/strong> security analysts’ team, you will work hand-in-hand with global stakeholders to improve existing tooling and develop novel solutions. Your work will directly enhance the efficacy of CrowdStrike’s products and boost analyst efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Design and Implementation:<\/strong> Take part in the design and implementation of new features and product enhancements for core security systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:<\/strong> Work directly with Falcon Complete stakeholders to build products that solve real-world cybersecurity challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Scalability and Performance:<\/strong> Design and implement reliable and performant solutions to enable continued scalability of high-traffic distributed systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Operational Excellence:<\/strong> Improve the effectiveness of service monitoring, proactively address issues, and write automation<\/strong> to reduce operational load within the team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On-Call:<\/strong> Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24\/7\/365 system reliability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Experience and Technical Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a highly asynchronous and remote environment, possessing the technical depth to manage large-scale systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Core Programming:<\/strong> Professional experience with at least one of the following: Golang, Python, C++, or Java<\/strong>, with a strong willingness to use Golang<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Large-Scale Systems:<\/strong> Practical experience building web services and data pipelines at scale<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Architecture:<\/strong> Practical experience building services within a microservices architecture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Databases:<\/strong> Operational knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and graph databases<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Messaging & Cloud:<\/strong> Operational knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or Kinesis<\/strong>, and experience with cloud-native technologies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • DevOps\/OS:<\/strong> Experience with Linux programming fundamentals<\/strong>, Docker<\/strong>, and container orchestration platforms such as K8S (Kubernetes)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Communication:<\/strong> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill high-level feature requests into concrete engineering requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Bonus Points<\/strong> are awarded for experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, strong passion for reliability and quality, experience building products in the security domain, and experience with high-level design and architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
