This role operates within a DevSecOps<\/strong> framework and is critical to enhancing Coinstar’s reference architecture and evolving CI\/CD processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role demands technical depth in multi-cloud platforms, infrastructure, automation, and database administration, with an emphasis on security and cost optimization. The typical starting salary range is $113,892 to $152,330 per year<\/strong>, with a total compensation package that includes short-term and long-term bonus incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As a Cloud Engineer II, you’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and application engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, acting as a catalyst for technology adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Maintain and support Windows and Linux<\/strong> systems across on-premises, AWS<\/strong>, and Azure<\/strong> infrastructures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Oversee resource utilization, subscription management, and cost monitoring<\/strong> for Azure and AWS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)<\/strong> environments for high availability and user experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Automation & DevSecOps:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Build, deploy, and monitor cloud resources using automation tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform<\/strong>, and ARM templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Partner with Software Engineering to design and support application architectures using Azure-native tools<\/strong> (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Gateway, Key Vault).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Enforce and implement security, compliance, and governance standards (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, IAM<\/strong>) across multi-cloud ecosystems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Database Administration:<\/strong>\n

        • Design, implement, and administer SQL databases<\/strong> across on-premises and cloud (Azure) environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Perform routine DBA tasks, including daily checks, backups, log reviews, security, and performance tuning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Manage backup processes and test disaster recovery strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Operational Excellence:<\/strong>\n

          • Optimize and troubleshoot cloud and on-prem resources to ensure high performance and reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule<\/strong> to ensure critical system availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Required Experience and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            This is a senior-level technical role requiring significant hands-on experience in a complex, multi-cloud environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Experience:<\/strong> A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) is required, along with:\n
                \n
              • 3+ years<\/strong> of hands-on management and optimization of on-premise and hybrid\/multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • 2+ years<\/strong> utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)<\/strong>, CI\/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation (Terraform, Azure DevOps<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • 2+ years<\/strong> of SQL Server database administration<\/strong>, including performance tuning, high availability, job automation, and data migration (on-premises to Azure).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Demonstrated experience automating processes with PowerShell, Azure CLI<\/strong>, and ARM templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Technical Knowledge:<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                • Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining Windows and Linux servers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics<\/strong>, and SQL monitoring tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Certifications:<\/strong> Azure certifications<\/strong> (e.g., Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer) are highly preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
