A new opportunity has emerged in our network for a permanent, full-time IT Network Engineer<\/strong> in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the agency’s network infrastructure, ensuring it is highly available, reliable, and secure. This is an onsite position with a salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 yearly<\/strong>, depending on experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This role is hands-on and requires a deep understanding of network operations. The core duties include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Infrastructure Management<\/strong>: Managing the agency’s LAN\/WAN<\/strong> network across all remote sites, configuring routers and switches, and securing all network firewalls to prevent security breaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Security Implementation<\/strong>: Implementing IPS, IDS, and port security<\/strong> to prevent unauthorized network access. The role also involves designing, implementing, and enforcing network segmentation and security perimeters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Monitoring and Maintenance<\/strong>: Monitoring, troubleshooting, and addressing all network-related issues. You’ll use network monitoring tools to detect bottlenecks and perform routine maintenance such as firmware upgrades and patch applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • On-Call Support<\/strong>: Providing after-hours support for network issues and project needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Required Qualifications & Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    To be a good fit for this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 5-7 years of verifiable, relevant work experience<\/strong>. A minimum of 5 years as a network engineer<\/strong> in a similar environment is required, along with specific experience in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Routers & Switches<\/strong>: At least 3 years of experience<\/strong> supporting routers and Layer 3 switches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Firewalls<\/strong>: A minimum of 3 years<\/strong> managing next-generation firewalls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • WiFi<\/strong>: At least 3 years<\/strong> of experience supporting WiFi standards 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Network Security<\/strong>: A minimum of 3 years<\/strong> implementing network segmentation and security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      You should also have technical certifications like Network+, CCNA, CCNP, or ECMS<\/strong>.
